Cancellation Policy -
If guests wish to cancel their booked tour for whatever reason, they must contact us via Email or
WhatsApp as soon as is reasonably possible!

In the situation guests need to cancel their booked tour(s) for whatever reason, they have the
option to:
- reschedule the tour to another time they can attend
- request a future-dated voucher (valid for 3 years from date of cancellation)
- request a refund (see Refund Policy below)

Any cancellations done within 6hrs of your scheduled starting time will not be refunded!

If City Skate Tours (Pty) Ptd is unable to do your booked tour, you will be notified in advance (as soon as is reasonably possible) and receive a full refund for your booked tour!

If a tour has been started but cannot be completed due to circumstances beyond City Skate
Tours (Pty) Ltd control, the weather or Force Majeure, guests will have the option to…
- join and complete their booked tour on another date
- request a future-dated voucher (valid for 3 years from date of cancellation)
- request a refund (in proportion to the percentage of their booked tour already completed
i.e. if 50% of the booked tour has been completed, guests will be entitled to a 50%
refund)

Refund Policy -

Guests may ask for a refund if they have to cancel their scheduled tour for whatever reason.
Refunds work as follows:
- Cancellation 48hrs before starting time: Full refund (less 20% refund/handling fee)
- Cancellation 24 - 48hrs before starting time: 60% refund
- Cancellation 6 - 24hrs to starting time: 50% refund
- Cancellation less than 6hrs to starting time: 0% refund

“No Show” -
In the case of a “No Show” (i.e. guest does not arrive for their scheduled tour within 30 minutes
AFTER the start time) without prior warning or communication, no refund will be given to the
guest!

Weather Policy -

From time to time, the weather may result in a tour being altered, rescheduled or cancelled
altogether.

In the case of a tour being altered due to the weather, guests have the following options.
Skate Tours: Johannesburg Skate Tour, Maboneng Skate Tour, Marshalltown Skate Tour
- If it’s raining lightly to moderately, the Skate Tour will be converted to a hybrid Skate &
Walking Tour and guests may carry the skateboards along in case it stops raining in
which case the Skate Tour will resume as per normal
- If it’s raining heavily AND there’s no lightning, the Skate Tour will be converted to a
Walking Tour in which case the entire tour will be done on foot without the skateboards.

NOTE!
The information on the tour does not change if a Skate Tour has to be converted into a walking
tour, guests will still receive all the relevant information as if they were on a Skate Tour!

Walking Tours: Johannesburg Graffiti & Street Art Walking Tour, Braamfontein Walking Tour

- If it’s raining lightly to moderately, this tour will still go on…guests are encouraged to
dress for the weather.
- If it’s raining heavily AND there’s no lightning, the tour will still go on…guests are
encouraged to dress for the weather.

General: applies to all tours

- If the weather prior to the start of a tour is deemed to be too unfavourable to proceed at
the scheduled start time, City Skate Tours (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to delay the start of
the tour for up to a maximum of 60 minutes (1hr)...this is done entirely at the discretion of
the guide hosting the tour!
- If the weather becomes favourable for the tour to proceed within 60 minutes (1hr)
AFTER the start time, it will proceed as normal and all reasonable effort will be done to
complete the tour within its allotted time.
- If the weather doesn’t change and remains unfavourable for the tour to proceed within
60 minutes (1hr) AFTER the start time, the booked tour will be canceled and guests
entitled to a full refund.
- If the weather is deemed to be too dangerous (lightning, extra heavy rain, etc.) for the
scheduled tour to proceed, the scheduled tour will be cancelled and guests have the
following options:
- Reschedule their tour to another date
- Ask for a refund (100%)

We encourage guests to check the weather forecast at least 24hrs before the start of their
scheduled tour to get a sense of what type of weather they should expect the day of their
scheduled tour.

Any changes to tours as a result of the weather will be communicated to guests as early as
reasonably possible and City Skate Tours (Pty) Ltd will continue to communicate with guests
throughout the day of a guest’s scheduled tour.
